Klaracase for developers: API, MCP server and SDKs

One API token, three ways to the same data: REST API, MCP server and SDKs. Here you find the documentation, the OpenAPI file, the packages and the limits.

Start

First call in three steps

  1. Create an API token

Sign in and create a token. It works for the REST API and the MCP server. You choose a life of 30, 90, 180 or 365 days, the default is 365.

    Create a token
  2. Send a call

You find an example on the case law API page.

  3. Install an SDK

    The packages are listed below.

A token carries up to five abilities: search, read, graph, datapackage and citation-check. Grant only the abilities your code needs.

REST

REST API and OpenAPI file

The REST API under /api/v1 offers the same functions as the MCP server. The OpenAPI file is public and needs no token. Errors come as problem+json with a stable value in the field code.

MCP

MCP server

The MCP server runs at the address below (streamable HTTP). Sign in with OAuth 2.1 and PKCE, or with the same bearer token as the REST API. Clients that cannot use a remote server can use the bridge npx mcp-remote.

Single areas of law have their own addresses, for example /mcp/steuerrecht.
